President Trump Signed A Proclamation Declaring Martin Luther King Jr. Day A Federal Holiday

January 15, 2018 is the day for honoring the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by attending ceremonies, participating in service projects or taking a moment to reflect on the impact he has made in our lives and on our country’s history.

“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”  – Martin Luther King, Jr.

President Donald J. Trump, joined by Dr. Alveda King who is the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., signed a measure turning the birth place of Martin Luther King Jr. into a National Historic Park. It is the first national historic park in the state of Georgia. Below is that legislative proclamation.
